This wingman converter NS lite is a great little USB adapter that allow you to connect your favorite or even unused controller from other consoles (PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox Elite 1/2, X360, X1, XSX/S) wirelessly with the switch and use it lag free. In addition to those controllers, it also allows you to a connect to a host of other controller via wired connection. This adapter also allow you to remap buttons, which you may have to do with some controllers since button arrangement sometimes differ between console manufactures. Lastly, one special feature of the converter, that may be useful to some, is the ability to setup turbo functions/button.There are a few important things that I will mention right at the start:1. Mentioned on their website and in the manual, is that Xbox controllers with updated firmware 5.11.31180 and above unfortunately, won't work wirelessly anymore with the Wingman converter. Controllers with older firmware and wired connections should still work.2. The first thing you need to do on the switch before using the Wingman NS Lite, in order to allow the switch to see the controllers is to go to:System Settings -> Controller and Sensors-> Turn ON Pro Controller Wired Communication3. Only one device/controller can be connected to the converter. If you want to use more controllers you’ll need one adapter per each.4. You cannot wake the Switch from a 3rd party controller.I tested a PS3 & PS4 controller on it, and can say it works as claims on the switch. To my surprise, the vibration/rumble also worked just as well, and there was no noticeable lag. I did have to remap a couple of buttons and I will say, that part of it was not straight forward but, still easy to do once you get the hang of it. The instructions in the manual is based on using an Xbox (one) controller, and because the buttons are different than a PS controller, figuring out the button presses can be a bit tricky. There is a corresponding button chart in the manual that you’ll have to use to decipher the proper button sequences to press in order to remap the PS controller. Again, it's not that difficult but, it does take a bit of time to get used to. It’s not a con, and the fact you can remap the button to suit your needs is great. Setting up the turbo button is also very similar. I don’t usually have use for turbo so, I didn’t try it and can’t say much about that but, I am glad that the option exist if I ever need it in a game. All in all, a great little device to allow you to use an existing or favorite controller on the switch, and to be able to use your existing controller with a device that cost significantly less than pro controller is already a good value.

After going into my switch's settings and enabling controllers over USB it works great. Pairing controllers with the adapter is simple like Brookman's other devices. You can connect it via USB or use the pairing buttons on the side of the adapter. It does take a little bit getting used to playing with a different controller but you get a hang of it after a while. There is a PDF on the brookaccessory website that gives you details instructions on how to use the adapter and its features. There isn't any apparent way to program the adapter over USB on a computer for things like button remapping so I just avoided those things. It works well out of the box without having to mess with any of that stuff.Input lag wise, there wasn't anything super noticeable. It's about the same as if you were playing with joy-cons as far as I can tell! It's very easy to use. I don't think I would use any of the auto-fire stuff in any online games because it would feel like cheating. The adapter came with the latest firmware but you can download and upgrade it through brook's website with their provided software, which is very simple and provides on screen instructions. The software is only available on mac and windows so keep that in mind if you use Linux.

I was expecting to connect my ps4 controller to my switch lite wirelessly... It didn't say, I have to get another connector to my switch lite. No instruction for switch lite either... talk about false advertisement.

Neat adapter. I was able to use my Xbox One X controller (when wired) and my PS3 controller (wired or wireless) with my Switch.Unfortunately I wasn't able to get this working with my PC running Linux, but the manufacturer's website suggests Windows and possibly macOS support. Oh well, it's still novel and weirdly useful for use with my Switch. I happen to have several PS3 controllers lying around, always nice to put them to good use. There's not much else I have to say about it. Button remapping is possible, although a bit tedious. There's a whole song and dance involving specific button combinations and watching the LED lights on the adapter. It works, I'm not going to make use of it though. Because I'm fine with the default layout. But it is nice that that's a possibility. There's also a turbo mode, which is admittedly easier to setup. The manufacturer's website is actually really helpful, with all the documentation and firmware update downloads (at least for Windows/macOS) that you could ask for. So overall I think you'll getting a well-designed, well-supported device. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it "just works" with no issues to speak of (at least in my testing on the Switch, still wish it had Linux support). With the level of care put into it, I'd say it's more than just a fun novelty. Which it certainly also is.

It would great but they didn't mention one key thing. It won't work on a stock switch without changing the settings. For switch you have to go into the settings and change the controller to accept Pro controller. Then it'll work perfectly. Wish they included a card in the box that stated that.

タイトルの通り。AボタンとBボタン、XボタンとYボタンが入れ替わりますがコントローラーと同じですぐ慣れます。

Perfect! Works as intended for the Nintendo switch.Do not buy to convert your Xbox one controller to be able to plug into the PlayStation 4. I repeat do not buy it for that, but it works perfectly for what it’s intended for.

Love this thing, has worked on everything I have tried it on so far!Even all of my 8Bitdo controllers and arcade stick, even worked on my Retro-bit, and all of my other arcade sticks. Can be utilized on my Nintendo Switch in handheld with an adapter or directly from the dock.Surprisingly even works with RetroArch!
