I bought 2 of these to replace fans in my home. The fans were noisy and one was partially seized so hardly worked.The replacement fans installed very easily. I used a flathead screwdriver to help get them out but the new one fit in very well without tools.The new fans were way quieter and were a big improvement to the one's I had.

Replaced my ec50 model with the newer one; running smoothly. The only thing is the new model doesn't come with a screw. I used my old screw to secure the new one. Not a deal breaker.

Works fine, but the discretion don't give a good idea of the compatibility of difference models. It was not really compatible with the old model I had installed in my bathroom but using a dremel tool I was able to make this replacement fit on the old model case in half hour. It is working treating and is more silent than the old one. Great I did not have to deal with reinstalling a whole new set.

I was so afraid something will not line up with after an older model but it took me 3 minutes to replace it! yaaay! For some reason I assumed that I'll have struggle with this and I was positively surprised how smooth that went!

I bought 2 of these and they took about 15 minutes to install each. the only issue I had was the the squirrel cage fanis larger than the old unit so I had to bend the old fan guide to make enough room for the bigger unit. It puts out probably close to double the exhaust air the old ones do. They are not really quiet but they work very well. The whole assembly is less than a new motor and improves performance so it is a win, win.

The problem with generic replacements that are "compatible" with the name brands is quality and longevity. I had to replace a NuTone (that ran for over a decade) fan two years ago, so I opted for one of these units. Fit great, easy to install, no air flow issues, and it was affordable. Fast forward a year and it's starting to chunk out. Loud, vibrating, ineffective air flow. I chalked it up to bad luck and bought a 2nd unit here. Now 8 months later that one is also failing.Bad luck twice? Or a pattern of poor quality parts? Your guess is as good as mine.

Inaccurate description!! Doesn't fit, not even close! Vendor makes you pay for returns! Will never order anything from this vendor again!

I ordered this to replace an old F650 model based on a review that stated with little modification it would work. While I was able to get it to work I wouldn't recommend for most people. The housing is slightly larger than this fan so unless the air is blocked over the gap some of it may escape back downwards. Also the cover didn't fit well over the hole using the spring clamp holes so I had to modify that as well. I gave it 5 stars as the only issue were the ones I created for myself by risking using wrong part.
