Wow, this tire has some stiff sidewalls, it was hard to spoon on. But that is great when you want it to last, and this one has given me over 4,000 miles, now. The traction is average for a "compromise" style tread pattern, but it does fine on gravel fire roads, which I use most of the time.I've seen this brand "bashed" on different motorbike forums, but it has worked very well for me. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the stock Tourance tires I had before seemed to have better traction off-road than this tire. But that is just my subjective opinion, YMMV.
