I bought this to use with my Dewalt 7485 job site saw, which I use more for hobby woodworking than for construction. Fits well and I really like the idea of the foam fingers, they grip well. It's simple to adjust and since it doesn;t use T-nuts, you don't havve to thread it into the front of the table the way you do with the stock miter gauge for example. You simply drop it in place and tighten the knob. Very useful for cutting small piece to keep them secure. I know it was a bit pricey but am quite happy with it overall.

I'm sure this would work fine if the edges of the wood were smooth and jointed. But for rough wood it just got caught up and didn't stay tight in the track. Going back to the plastic style for my needs. Good small size though a portable saw

These featherboards work better than any wood or plastic featherboards I have used in the past. They are easy to adjust and keeps your board snuggly against the fence. I use them on my table saw and on my router table. Well worth the price.

I was buying this feather board (FP5) for my Shopsmith 500 (old table); I was led to believe it would fit even though Shopsmith has a non-standard miter slot. It didn't, but I was determined to sand the 3/4 inch miter bar down to make it fit. I also wanted to be able to use on a standard router table, so I would need an additional miter bar. I emailed Bow Products and inquired about purchasing an additional 3/4 inch bar.Customer Service sent me several miter bars; one even fit my Shopsmith perfectly; immediately and for free.Oh, and the FP5 feather board is a great product; the replaceable fingers hold firmly ( I bought a replacement set ). It comes with 5/8 and 3/4 inch miter bars and is geared toward smaller table saws.The knob is larger than most and easier to tighten than those on the traditional feather board.I really am impressed with their Customer Service; not used to their level of care.

I needed this featherboard - two, it turns out - to keep 8 foot 2 x 12s in place for full length dados. Bow offers a package that includes either one of these portable saw featherboards, or one larger featherboard for shop table saws. Important to select the portable saw featherboard for the small DW 7491 table.It turns out I needed two. As the workpiece cleared the first featherboard in front of the blade, the it jiggled sideways - only a little, but enough to produce a crooked spot in the dado. So I got the second one, as you see, placing it behind the blade.You can see the dados are straight for the full 8 feet - the bookshelf pilaster attests to that.The featherboard does fit the Dewalt 7491 mitre slot. It tightened down satisfactorily.

Easy to set up, easy to adjust, works with my Skilsaw portable table saw. No comment on the softer fingers versus some plastic I’ve used, these replaceable ones seem like better option but time will tell
