Instructions were very clear and easy to follow which made this timer very easy to set up. Literally a minute or less. Push down the pins for the time that you want it be on and the turn the centre dial to the current time. Way easier to set than the one it is replacing!It is sturdy and feels like good quality and worked perfectly the first time I plugged it in.It's completely silentI love that it has 2 spots for plugs although I am currently only using one.It has shown to be very accurate over the last few days and it was a totally worthwhile purchase.I'm very happy with it.

Had it for over a week now and is working great! Was very easy to set up, slightly challenging getting it right down to the minute but got there by day 2. Would recommend!

Why the manufacturer made daytime black and nighttime white is beyond me. Took me a few days to figure out it’s reversed. Otherwise seems to work as expected.

For an inexpensive timer, the quality of these seems to be pretty good. They're fairly easy to set up and program, however you have to be okay with some variation. In the time, as you can't get it exactly precise down to the minute, but more plus or minus five to ten minutes. They don't really make any noise and since they plug into an outlet, there's not really any need for batteries, which is nice. We got them for our reptile lights, and they do a great job cycling between day and night light cycles. Just keep in mind that if the power goes out and they stop running, you'll probably want to reset the times that are set up as they're mechanical and not digital.

I find the old fashioned mechanical timer much easier to set up and customize than electronic timers. It’s more visual and intuitive. Time tested technology, simple and reliable. I use it in combination with a simple $10 relay to run my heat recovery ventilator on a custom schedule that I can easily adjust based on the season. Saved me $300 on a controller which wouldn’t be nearly as flexible, convenient and easy to use.

Light off/on timer

Mechanically the timer is solid and the first look promises solid performance. However try as I might I succeeded neither at setting the clock nor setting the timer. I plugged in a lamp and tried to make it turn on in 15 minutes and off 15 minutes later, so I pushed 1 pin down after making sure the time had been set correctly. The lamp would turn on at arbitrary moments between 10 minutes and 30 minutes from now, and the lamp would turn off at arbitrary moments between 10 and 30 minutes after turning on. So instead of 15 minutes per pin the description should say "1 pin equals between 10 and 30 minutes". The clock has the same accuracy, so you don't really know when your plugged-in device will be on or off. This is too approximate, so back it goes.

Works great! Just as intended, seems very sturdy. Love it. Easy to understand instructions.

UL tested and approved..4. There is a maximum of 96 15-minute settings..5. The construction is heavy - very rugged. It is not the familiar light cheap plastic types that are commonly sold in hardware stores..6. At $10, the consumer is getting great value for an over engineered and durable product that will last for years. For the quality, it should cost $20 to $30..7. It is simple to use. First, slide the side switch to TIMER. Second, use a tooth pick to press down the tabs on the clock dial to set the time(s) for the device to go ON. Each tab represents 15 minutes of activation. Third, rotate the round clock dial and position the black triangle to the present time..8. There is no comparison between this product and the competition. Through the years, I have used Intermec and GE brands. These were the only choices on the shelves of Lowes and Home Depot. They were cheaply made; they tend to overheat; and the life expectancy was short. The biggest problem was the limited number of settings. Within an hour, a second email expressed his personal apologies and indicated that a free replacement will be shipped on Monday..The unit arrived a few days later. It was rigorously tested. The product turned my bedroom lamp ON and OFF every 15 minutes for 16 hours everyday. It was OFF for eight hours, because I did not want the lights flashing ON and OFF while sleeping. The testing will continue for the next few days. So far, the replacement timer is working without any problems..The reality is that defects in manufacturing happen all the time. This is normal..What is not normal is this vendor's reaction. It is unbelievable that a company immediately responded to a customer complaint within three hours on a weekend, confirm the issue within an hour, and ship a free replace on the next business day. Such an experience is "an all-time first." I am totally flabbergasted..Customer service like this puts all other businesses to shame.
