I've gone through several rechargeable electric screwdrivers and I got fed up over having to constantly charge them or finding them dead just as I need the screwdriver. Then there is the issue of what happens when the rechargeable battery is exhausted--it's not worth replacing the battery, so you simply throw the whole thing away. I used a battery-operated screwdriver many years ago and I wanted to return to one. It is surprisingly difficult to find these things in the stores--the rechargeables have taken over. This is a simple unit that takes 4 "AA" batteries (included) and comes with a couple of screwdriver tips.It takes standard size bits, so I have access to all the tips from my screwdriver kit. This screwdriver has a locking chuck so that you can use it as a regular screwdriver. The oversized handle gives you a nice big surface to grip in this case. I think every household should have one of these. It's not the most powerful unit out there, but it'll save you a lot of work for tasks that don't need a lot of torque.

Pros: Uses standard alkaline batteries, not some weird rechargeable/non-replaceable batteryCons: Very low torque/speed. Only comes with a couple of bits. Shouldn't use re-chargeables.The torque is low. I use this as a wrist saver on electrical boxes, amps etc. It's perfect for that. Totally no-frills. The bit thing is a non-issue...if you don't already have a ton of bits scattered around, go to Dollar General and but a full set for $4. Btw, you should only use alkaline batteries with this guy as they hold their voltage over their (limited) lifetime while re-chargeables drop their voltage over time.

This is an inexpensive electric screwdriver. I was important for me to have replaceable batteries. When the rechargeable ones die, you have to wait for the recharge. With this one you just pop in new batteries which last a long time.

Pros: Yes it’s handy and practical. Cons: A little heavy. No where to put the bits, can lose very easily. Should have came with more bits, two aren’t enough. Too basic. Should have come with a “case” due to nowhere to put bits.

I had this one before for 10 years and accidentally dropped it. So I bought it again, works as expected. Like the AA battery better than the charging cell.

I thought I had to try one because of all the good reviews I read. This thing is bulky underpowered and it flexes in the middle of the its two-piece design. Get with this century and get something with more powerful rechargeable batteries.

I had one for years and it was very useful. It stopped working backward but it was so handy I bought it again.

With the right top piece I use this screwdriver to restring my guitars. Works like a charm, has the correct speed. Would buy it again anytime.

Cause i need vertical screw driver and i like it because you can separate the battery unit from it when you not need to use

Nice screwdriver. The packaging and product information says that it comes with 2 bits: 1 slotted and 1 philips, but i couldn't find it in the packaging, so minus 1 star.
