I've owned 3 pairs of these headphones now. My favourite being DT 990 Pro open back(bass doesn't sound as deep with closed back version). When you first get them they will sound weird but it goes away after you burn in the headphones for about 40 hours or less. The comfort also is a little bit tight at first but should get a bit better over time.Overall very great headphones but it has been a long time since any changes were made to the design. One of the first things that you will probably experience breaking is the rubber grommet that holds the audio cable snug to the headphone. Could take at least 2 years or more to happen just depends on how much usage/care is put into them. It says "coiled" cable too but it isn't actually coiled, at least with the black limited edition version. I do prefer the coiled phone type cable over the straight cable. My first pair was coiled, nice to keep the cable out of the way if your gaming you don't want to run over it with your chair.I think the biggest improvement they could make to these headphones is a detachable cable that has more customization options(like mic or coiled/braided cables/control buttons).As for gaming the sound and comfort are amazing. The only 'main con' might be that because they are open back so more sound leaks out. If your volume is loud enough it might get picked up on your microphone but should be pretty minimal.

these are the nicest headset i have ever owned i bought for gaming on my PC and i love these things by far one of my best purchases ever. very light great cord and the sound quality is just wow yeah you get what you pay for and then some.

The best headphones yet, I've had a bunch. Been trying to find my headphone for the mix. Not for gaming, I know sound & this is a flat head phone, you want something that has boosted frequency's. To get the full 250 Ohm you need to plug it into a proper audio interface. Its works through the Macs aux but it is a tad bit quieter. All in all these are definitely on the shelf for top headphones for the work that we do as musicians.

For the price it would be nice if there was less plastic but the sound is excellent if you like a wide soundstage and a little bit more bass than other reference headphones

Absolutely awesome headphones. I bought these to replace a pair on Sennheisers I've been using for the last year and I am simply blown away by the quality. I always considered Sennheiser my go-to headphones as their quality is beyond outstanding, but I have to admit these 990's somehow blow them out of the water. I can hear small details my Sennheisers never picked up, music sounds incredible, and for gaming these are top notch.VERY impressed. Possibly one of the best pairs of headphones I've ever used. If you're on the fence about these, I'd say give them a shot as I am very glad that I did.Only con I can come up with it that the earcups are circular as opposed to an oval shape, but they are large enough that they don't squish my ears or anything like that so it's really not an issue. These guys have definitely won me over as a customer.

The DT 990 I purchased years ago wasn't the limited edition. However when it was purchased, it came with a nice foam interior and leather-like case. Unlike this one which comes in a box and that's it. The quality is the same which is what I was yearning for (after the old DT 990 cable frayed). Still a stellar headphone.

Love these headphones - I got the 240 ohm version. Def needs a headphone amp to get full range of volume. FOR MY GAMERS - these are sick - good audio range, for shooters and easily tell direction, and they’re super comfortable!

The headphones themselves are fantastic. I've done a ton of research and these are the best in their price range. Here's the catch: I ordered the grey version a month ago and they came in an opened box. Nothing seemed out of place and it was neatly wrapped back together - but very obviously not new. I wasn't that concerned about it because the headphones were intact and worked like a dream....until they didn't. Suddenly the bass disappeared from both ears and I had to refund + return it. I'm not saying the open box is directly related to the fault - but I believe it's important that you have the facts.Here's the fun part: I reordered the exact same ones in black because I honestly love the headphones themselves. The trouble is that they once again sent me an open box. Nothing out of place and the headphones run perfectly fine right now. It was neatly packed but again - very obviously opened previously (taped bag, broken seal, lack of ties...etc). So you're essentially paying full price for an 'open box' item.TL;DR: Purchased this model several times and every single time they've sent an 'open box'. 2 of the 3 ended up defective within a year.

Suono storico che con questa edizione limitata diventa anche più versatile.Le 990 le utilizzo in momenti di urgenza, in viaggio, quando non sono in studio e ho bisogno di consegnare un primo mix, e voglio che almeno suoni piacevole.Non sono delle spade per quanto riguarda gli ambienti e gli attacchi dei suoni, ma con questa nuova impedenza, ad alcuni volumi diventano uno standard sul quale fare affidamento.Le utilizzo sempre e dico sempre, come prima fase di mix e come termine di paragone nelle ultime fasi del mastering. Non sostituiscono l'imprevedibilità sonora dei monitor, sono cuffie e dicono tutto in modo netto, direttamente sulle nostre orecchie.Come qualsiasi tool per chi fa musica, bisogna abituarsi ai loro difetti e imparare a tradurre il loro suono, come si farebbe con qualsiasi altro mezzo di ascolto.Intonatissime e con un ampio palcoscenico sonoro, io le porto sempre con me.

As a music lover and avid gamer I spend a lot of time wearing headphones. Over the years I tried a wide range of headphones, earbuds and speakers.I can safely say that the Beyerdynamic DT 990's are the best headphones I have found to date. That good I purchased another pair when the band clamp broke on my first set. Only to find it was a common issue and stronger replacements were readily available at a reasonable price.I used to struggle with headaches and a feeling of built up pressure after prolonged headphone use. With these headphones which are nice and light, have soft and comfortable ear cups and an open back design this is no longer an issue.The cable is quite long however it doesn't seem to tangle.Very clear and concise sound quality and they also look great.

Casque de référence dans cette gamme de prix il va taquiner des casques coûtant plusieurs fois son prix sans problème.Je l'ai possèdé en 250 ohm pro, 32 ohms premium et 600 ohms premium et maintenant en 250 ohm pro limited édition.Bref c'est un casque que l'on regrette une fois vendu et je suis revenu et je ne compte plus le vendre.Grave présent mais qui ne prend pas le dessus c'est hyper rapide et défini.Médium au top très défini et aéré.Aigu incisif et détaillé.Spatialisation très ouverte et large ça respire.Confort au top comme d'habitude chez beyer un peu plus de clamping que les versions premium mais ça reste très tres confortable.Ce casque existe depuis un peu plus de 35 ans c'est un casque qui ne se démode pas et c'est une preuve que c'est un excellent casque.Il coûtait plus de 400e à l'époque.Bref c'est du moyen haut de gamme à prix d'ami il surpasse sur pas mal de point un HD600 et HD650 si on adhère à sa sonorité qui est fun et typé hi-fi, il peut même rivaliser sur certains points avec un hd800 par exemple.C'est le casque fun de la gamme beyer.Le dt880 que je possède aussi est ultra neutreDt770 est plus fun que le dt880 mais moins que le Dt990 sauf pour la version 80 ohm mais on perd en spatialisation pour le dt770.Je possède comme casque akg k702, dt880 600 ohms, hd600 et HD650 de sennheiser, hd598, dt770 80 ohms, sr125 grado, Philips fidelio x2, msr7 audio technica, sennheiser momentum m2 over ear, flc8, audio technica ckr9 et d'autres que j'ai venduDonc le Dt990 est dans le top 3 de mes meilleurs casques si pas mon préféré.Ça sonne façon analytique mais c'est fun ça tape bien quand il le faut il y a du grave et des aigus et même du médium même si moins poussé que sur un sennheiser pour le médium ça reste ultra cohérent et hyper détaillé, aéré et plaisant à écouter en tout temps.Une valeur sure, vous pouvez l'acheter les yeux fermés :)
