I use these for various projects on an ongoing basis. There are some that are slightly cheaper, but not as reliable. When I'm doing a glue up I need clamps that work right. These are what I use.

Clamps, especially the long ones, are typically expansive. This provides the best possible solution for a clamp as long as one wishes at a really reasonable price. Quality of the product is very high. One can make it stand by itself before getting ready to clamp.

I ordered both a Bessy 1/2 clamp and a Pony 1/2. I find the Bessey one feels more professional in how it cranks (might be the threading is better). I also liked how the Bessey clamp face/surface is larger than the Pony one.HOWEVER the downside of the Bessey clamps, is that the crank arm is solid and can get in the way of other clamps or other parts around what you are clamping thus not allowing you to crank it. Where as the Pony clamp has a sliding crank arm which is a much better design since you can place the clamp in tight areas and still turn the crank arm.I'd also like to suggest that Bessey make a pipe clamp with a larger clamp plate... these tiny face/plates are terrible on larger projects as they will leave dents where clamping. Using a scrap piece of wood between the project and clamp helps prevent this denting, however the board will often tilt/lift off the opposite side from the clamp (requiring more clamps) but in some cases it's not possible to use more clamps where the board lifts up. As a result of this technical issue, my projected ended up all wrong since I got more clamping power near the clamp and less on the other side of the boards I used (again where it was not possible to place a clamp - unless the clamp had a longer arm / wider plate) these tiny surface plate clamps can only clamp near the edges of your project.Hence making larger clamp face plates with a larger surface area such as 4x4 inch 8x8 12x12 (or similar sizes) would be great!

Very well made pipe clamps.My only beef is the protective rubber pads. They are too loose and come off too easily. Lost one on the very first use. Will use a bit of silicone to keep them in place a bit more securely in the future.

Parfait, je ne regrette pas d'avoir pris la version 1/2". C'est très bien pour des travaux plus petit que 120 cm,si vous avez besoin de travailler une plus grande longueur prenez la version 3/4" pour éviter la déformation des tubes.

Sure the quality of Bessey clamps would seem as expected. But these clamps require 13mm pipe and here in Australia this has proven to be impossible. I am still trying to source something otherwise these will be returned. Sellers need to ensure they can be actually used in the country they are selling into
