WHAT IS BEAVERCRAFT? BeaverCraft - is a company manufacturing and selling wood carving tools (READ stress relief tools).
Two friends got to know about wood carving, started carving spoons and in a few years (to be more specific in 2014) came to the idea that they could make some good tools.
WHAT GOAL DOES BEAVERCRAFT FOLLOW? To help as many people as possible to dive into the wonderful world of wood carving without breaking the bank.
WHERE IS BEAVERCRAFT? Tools are manufactured in the country overflowing with beautiful landscapes - Ukraine (which is located in eastern Europe).

The set was a bit smaller than I expected, but that worked out. I’ve tested them and half were ready to go and the other two just needed a quick strop before they went through the basswood like butter. I made quick work of a spoon, and got a bit overzealous and went through the bottom, but that was my fault.Will they be a set I use everyday for the rest of my life? Unlikely, but to test the waters with a decent set before making a substantial investment on a set that I do, these seem quite good.

These came sharp and ready to use. This is the second set of carving knives we e gotten from this company and most everything is as advertised, great quality, super sharp, easily to use (bought for a 13 year old). The only dissapointment, and it's only a little one, is that both our packages were missing their Band-Aids. But still worth the 5 stars even missing the bandaids

Unfortunately just after one year the blades have rusted.. How can this happen? Can any one tell me what's going on? What are these knives made out of?

I purchased the BeaverCraft Wood Carving Chisel Set SC01 for my fiancé, who was eager to try out a new hobby in wood carving. He chose this particular set because, as a beginner, he didn't want to deal with the additional task of stropping and just wanted to go straight to carving. Unfortunately, this product did not meet our expectations.Despite the product description claiming the chisels come "razor sharp" and ready for immediate use without any preliminary stropping, we found this not to be the case. Upon receiving the set, my fiancé discovered that the chisels were not sharp enough for effective use right out of the box. This was a significant disappointment and has set him back quite a bit in starting his wood carving journey.On a positive note, the set includes a good variety of chisels, a rolling pouch, and a leather strop with polishing compound, which are nice additions. The tools themselves seem well-made and sturdy, and we believe they have potential once properly sharpened.Overall, we would recommend this set to those who don't mind spending additional time sharpening their tools before use. However, if you are a beginner looking for a truly "ready-to-go" carving kit, this may not meet your expectations.

I haven't used these tools except to see how they carve in some scrapb oak. I'm a beginner so I can't comment as a professional or experienced wood Carver. Thus delivery was fast , well packaged and ends of tools were well protected. Also sharp. So far I'm satisfied with this product.

I recently decided to try my hand at bas relief and after exhaustively looking over a ton of different wood carving chisel brands I settled on this set from Beavercraft.The steel is some of the best I've seen for ages (I'm a carpenter and a lot of modern tool steel is rubbish). There is some flexibility and the edge can be maintained at scalpel sharpness with little effort. The chisels retain their edge through relatively prolonged use without needing any attention.They sit lightly in the hand (to be honest, so lightly that I was initially a bit dubious about the handle construction but my concerns proved unfounded).The chisel roll and strop are good quality, as is the sharpening compound it comes with. All in all, I am really pleased with my purchase and well done to these guys for producing such nice stuff at what is really a very reasonable price.I attached a photo of my first effort and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have turned out as well if I'd bought my kit from elsewhere. I look forward to many more projects with this kit and will certainly be checking out the other gear they are producing.
