This is a review for Askdeer Men's Classic-fit 5.5" Casual Shorts. The material is soft and comfortable without feeling too synthetic. I like the length, and they are not too tight.The pockets are deep enough to hold my phone. My phone doesn’t fall out when I sit on a couch where I am somewhat reclined back. There is a buttoned back pocket as well. The pocket material is also soft and doesn’t bother me from the inside.They have an elastic waistband with a single button and zipper fly. I got the 32 but I probably would have been fine with a 30 (5’8” 160lbs). They stay up, but I am hoping they shrink after a few washes.Because the waistband is elastic, they seem a bit more casual and would lend themselves nicely to wearing around the yard or house. Still, I am quite happy with them and am always glad to have comfortable black shorts.

This is a good pair of shorts that I know I will get a good amount of use out of during the summer months. The look leans casual but you can dress them up a bit if you want. The material is soft but solid feeling, and has just the right amount of stretch for my preferences. I got these in the "olive green" colour. Personally, I think they are a bit dark to be described as olive and almost look more like a forest green in some lighting. That said, names are subjective and ultimately I feel that the colour is very close to the product photos, so fine by me.Overall fit for me was true-to-size; 5.5 inch inseam, 32 inch waist and it was exactly right.

Elastic waist is good to fit a wide variety of body types. The legs are short, which is shown in the photo, but are much baggier in real life. Not a good look for me. Fabric is lightweight and comfortable. Shorts came with damage at the waistband.

These shorts have a one-button closure. There are two side pockets. There are also two rear pockets, each with a one-button closure as well. The front button is oversized and unique and it is nice that there are two spare buttons included in case of loss, one large one for the front closer and a smaller button for the pockets.The shorts are lightweight and make for great casual summer wear. It has an elasticized waist so the shorts are forgiving that way. There are also belt loops if you wish to wear a belt for additional support.The shorts are machine washable. The material is 67% cotton, 30% nylon and 3% spandex.I would say that the shorts are true-to-size so just order your regular size but as mentioned, the elasticized waist will allow for slight size deviations. I would definitely recommend these shorts.

These are made of a weight lightweight material that gives a very smooth feeling with a slightly coarse texture of it. It's almost like swimming trunks honestly, but with a more preppy look to them. They are easy to take on/off and the elastic makes it comfortable to wear.The front pockets have a decent amount of depth to them, so you can safely put in your phone without it sticking out; I have a large phone, and the pocket just covers it. But, note that if you plan on putting anything heavy in your pockets like a phone, then they'll gradually slide off you. You'll need to wear a belt to keep the shorts up.While these are comfortable to wear and very breathable, I was hoping for a slightly more traditional cotton feel to them. I do think that these would be good for walking somewhere hot and humid however, and they overall have a clean look. I'd consider these if they were ~$30

Great shorts, very comfortable and soft. Looks even better in person. High quality materials and feel. The elastic band is strong but not uncomfortable. When I first received these shorts I thought they looked like 'short shorts' but they are not, they actually look great! My wife likes me in them as well ;) Easy to recommend, and worth the price.
