Anyone driving a slightly older (2015) General Motors truck is eventually going know about the AC blowing hot air on the driver's side vents. This actuator/motor assembly was a perfect match for the original unit in my truck. I think the repair is about $1500 for the dealer to replace the faulty unit, but after researching the web, I found the information I needed to replace the unit myself. Of course it is buried under the dash on top of the climate control module that has the heater core and AC evaporator. After removing the upper and lower glove boxes, and a couple of the computer modules, I was able to reach through the opening and replace this module with a few choice words and a some scratches on my right arm. Worked perfectly after resetting everything.

Replaced my upper control on 2014 GMC Sierra perfectly. Now I have cold air on drivers side. Will also work on bottom control.

It resolves the issue where the driver's side blows hot air (temp gauge read 130f in the left most vent). Be prepared to curse, bruise your arm and look like you fought a cat as you weave your arm into a very difficult spot behind the dash. I used a t15 bit in a 1/4" socket with a short extension to get to the screws. The driver's side screw is blind from your vantage point. This saves over $500 in taking it to a shop.

Purchased to fix my faulty driver's side blend door on my 2014 Silverado. Did the repair myself in just under an hour and saved several hundred dollars.Part worked like a charm!

I was super mad when the AC went out on the drivers side, bc i've only had the truck for 4mo. I bought it with 147,000mi. I watched a few youtube videos, and felt this was the issue. So i did exactly what the videos recommended, and it took me about 2hrs. I labeled all the plugs when i disconnected the computers from passenger side dash, and plugged them right back in after installing this part. DONT DROP THE 2 SCREWS THAT HOLD IT DOWN. good luck if you do. For $40 and 2hrs of my time, it was well worth it,
