Your cart is empty. This keychain multi-tool is compact in size but packed with features. Nine individual components ranging from pliers to tweezers make this a perfect travelling companion - especially since the Ascend is also TSA compliant. Kilimanjaro products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty, guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for as long as owned by the original purchaser and used for the purpose intended, under normal conditions.

Functional multi-tool that is TSA friendly. Numerous useful tools. Lower but acceptable quality keeps the price low so you won’t be too disappointed if you run into a TSA someday that makes you leave it behind. I carry this tool every day for the excellent nail file and functional pliers. They compliment my EDC Victorinox Compact Knife which lacks these two features.

Needed a TSA friendly tool. The pliers and screwsdrivers are useable - within reason - this is a small keychain tool that is good for "in a pinch" not for building an ikea cabinet. But the scissors are useless. The spring is barely there and they are good only for cutting very small and thin items like clothes tags.I know one company makes these and companies like Schrade and Kilimanjoaro buy and brand them, so less hate to them - but if the manufacturer would beef up the springs just a bit, this could have been great.

But still I'll probably hesitate to take it flying just because in some US airports the TSA stop all multitools that even look at first glance like any of the bladed versions. Also, some screeners might deem even these tiny scissors too sharp. Most trips, this would go through fine, I reckon, but I'd hate to lose it. Lol the green color is mainly what triggered me to pull the trigger on this, alonside the lower price, but now it's already a favorite thing.

Got this as a tool I wouldn’t be needing to store in the hold, or check in for travel. As these rules are subject to rapid change. It’s a must to be aware and prepared. Looks like flights going in and through the UK no longer allow pliers into the cabin. Change is a constant. Still a useful tool out and about.

I opened the Kilimanjaro and initiated a return within 10 minutes of testing itIt couldn't latch shut and the bolts holding the tools in place were tightened so tight, I couldn't pull out the pair of scissors. At this price range, a Gerber Dime is a much better bet

First up this is the only multi tool without a blade in this size. A little heavy compared to well known brands.Pliers are good, screw driver is meh but can work. Scissors are sharp.Cons are that the thing doesn’t fully close cause of the spring loaded pliers. I can live with that but the scissors really get me. The nail cut out is on the handle closer to the hinge making it really hard to open. You’re not gonna get them out in a hurry. Most likely you’ll rip half your nail out.Really hope these guys do a version 2 to fix those issues cause like I said, there aren’t any bladeless multi tools out there

Item is excellent for TSA Compliance, although you will end up nearly fighting TSA for the right to keep it. Declare "No Blade, less than 7 inches, TSA approved" to the x-ray tech before putting it in the x-ray machine. Item was purchased to replace a broken, similar, other brand item. The Ascend multi-tool has all tools described, but the overall size is about 20% larger than necessary due to the oversized shapely handles. To add to the bulk, the tool does not stay fully closed with a 1 cm gap between the two sides that should be able to fold together seamlessly. This bulk results in torn fabric of pockets, the tool being caught on other pocket content, and the tool being largely incompatible for keychain carry.
