Lubricate the tool before using it.
Place the threaded screw in the center of pulley with the half-moon clamp shells and lip retaining ring surrounding it, then place the grabber nut center piece with a die on top
Tightly screw the threaded stud onto the center of the end of your puller nut, and then use your tool to loosen and remove
Store the tools safely in the included high quality storage case once your job is completed

This Tool Can Be Used For GM And Ford Power Steering Pump Pulley Remover/Installation
Works on Ford, GM, and Chrysler vehicles with Saginaw, Thompson and Ford C111 and C2 power steering pumps.
Fits 1 1/8inches, 1 1/4inches, 1 5/16inches, and 1 3/8inches pulley hub diameters including 1988 and newer GM cars equipped with Quad 4 engines; 1991 and newer GM minivans with 3.1 L and 3800 V-6 engines; 1991 to current Ford 4.6L engines with a metric shaft.

I used this on a 96 GM power steering pump. Worked fine but i did need to put a shim between the collar and clamp as the gap was going to cause it to pull wrong or damage the tool or pulley.

I only needed this tool to do one job so I thought if it does the job and breaks while getting it done, no problem. If you are going to be using this type of tool in a shop or multiple times I would suggest paying more for a better quality tool. I had to file and grind parts of this tool to get it to fit the pulley flange and had to grind the round puller part that fits onto the threaded centre part. took about 30 minutes of playing around to get everything to fit together properly and did eventually get the pulley off the pump.

This tool does not hold onto the pulley until it is fully removed. In the end, it let go of the pulley because the ring was too large, allowing the split halves to separate too much. For anyone considering other kits that look like this one—BEWARE.Ultimately, I wasted both time and money on this product. Save yourself the trouble and invest in a more expensive, reliable set.

Decent quality, had to replace the bolt remover. But no biggie. So far used 3 times and no major problems
