The 7artisans 35mm f1.8 is your ideal ideal all-around lens for shooting stunning images both day and night. With a 35mm focal length and 43 degree angle of view. Its fast f1.4 circular aperture delivers beautifully soft defocused backgrounds, perfect for portraits, food, products, insects and so on. It also delivers superb detail even when lighting is less than optimal, which means you can skip the flash in many low-light situations.
Different from ordinary industrial imaging optical processing standards, 35mm F1.4 APS-C and new glass products since the 7artisans 2.0 era have higher surface finish. BEAUTIFUL BLUR WITH LARGE APERTURE
The 35mm F1.4 mark II APS-C lens has been measured by a professional organization to achieve a larger aperture value of F1.4, with a large amount of light, and it can be easily shot in low light conditions.
When shooting at full aperture F1.4, it can create a soft blur effect, effectively avoiding cluttered backgrounds, and making the subject more prominent when shooting.
STURDY CONSTRUCTION
35mm F1.4 APS-C mark II is adjusted on the basis of double Gauss. It uses a lens structure of 8 elements in 5 groups. Two doublet lenses are used to correct spherical aberration. The combination of positive and negative lenses can effectively eliminate chromatic aberration. At the same time, the new lens uses imported HOYA optical lenses. The optical and physical properties of the lens materials are excellent, which effectively improves the previous dispersion problems, reduces the generation of glare and ghosts under non-limiting conditions, and the resolution from the center to the edge of the picture can also reach ideal effect.
CONVENTIONAL FOCAL LENGTH, EASY TO USE
35mm is the longest focal length lens that can be used indoors. After conversion, it is equivalent to about 50mm. The angle of view on the camera is actually similar to that of the human eye. From the time I opened the box this lens has been nothing but a delight. Solid, with overall build quality of a superior standard. Focus and aperture ring are both smooth and easy, but not to loose in turning. When I attached this lens to my Fujifilm X E2 and spent a day with it, I was surprised, very pleasantly by the sharpness of the shots I took, and the depth and richness of the colour, werecaptivating. The X E2 is known for its image quality, however, this lovely little "budget" lens, pushed the envelope a bit further, in my view.Seven Artisans, you have won a customer the old fashioned way, with the delivery of quality at a more than reasonable price.

It seems sturdy ( made of metal ). Focus ring is little tight but it is very smooth.The lens provide a great image quality with background blurring and beautiful bokeh.

This lens by 7Artisans is by no means perfect, it has flaws and I'm going to mention them first.The biggest issues with the lens are vignetting, distortion and flare. The performance of the lens on those aspects is lacking, leading you with the urge of editing your photos from time to time.The lens is not clicked which can be a good thing, specially if you like to film. Just take in mind that it's too smooth and you might move the focus/aperture rings by accident. It doesn't happen often but there's that.Some people would call some of those issues as dealbreakers, but let's move to the pros before we judge this lens.For the price, this lens is surprisingly sharp. It's not the sharpest when the aperture is wide open but it's good enough in the middle of the lens, making it good for low light.With F2 and F8 it's very sharp in the middle and acceptable in the corners. Great for portraits and bokeh.Between 2.8 and 5.6 it's really sharp. I was pleasantly surprised by this, specially considering the price of this metallic lens. I'd say it's the sweet spot I'd use most of the time.F11 is just okay. Using this lens between f2 and f8 is what I would do, while f1.4 and f11 are acceptable for more situational photos.Considering the issues this lens has are fixable in post (aka: editing) I'd heavily recommend it. Those issues aren't always a problem since this lens isn't meant to take photos of buildings or walls, giving those portraits and product photos that charming vintage look while being sharp.It's fun to use and it gives great results, so those issues aren't really that big of a deal.I'll leave some mid quality photos here (since some people tend to steal the good ones and scale them up with AI) just to give you an idea of what this lens is capable of.I recommend it!

This is a very fun lens to shoot photos with. Images are nice and crisp. I use it on my fujifilm X-s20. If you are having a hard time with shooting manual look into focus peaking and turn it on, it really helps a lot with focusing.

Es un lente pequeño, pero de calidad. No es plástico, está hecho de metal y a pesar de ser pequeño, se siente la calidad en cuanto a los materiales. Hice unas pequeñas pruebas y la imagen obtenida es de muy buena calidad, lo mismo el desenfoque que se logra en retratos o primeros planos, es muy bueno.Es un lente fijo, al que solo le podemos modificar la Apertura del Diafragma y el enfoque. Desde la cámara podemos ajustar la luz manipulando la velocidad de captura y el ISO. Así que, no es para principiantes, se debe de tener un conocimiento en el manejo de la cámara y la luz para lograr el resultado deseado.Lo recomiendo ampliamente si estás buscando algo económico y de calidad. Es una buena compra.

Premium build quality. If you are professional then you can buy this with closed eyes. Note it's doesn't have autofocus. Video stability is not good.
