Black oxide coating protects the sockets against rust and corrosion. Includes both metric and standard sizes to meet all standard operating conditions. Each adapter is small enough to reach narrow areas. Its a great set for drivers, wrenches and ratchets to convert size up or down for your automotive needs in the garage.
Q: Is this adapter a 1/2 " drive?
A: This set of adapter reducers consists of 1/4" to 1/4", 3/8" to 1/4", and 1/2" to 1/4". If you order one set, you will get 3 of 1/4 inch drives, 2 adapters in 1/4 to 3/8 inch and 3/8 to 1/2 inch, and 2 reducers of 3/8 drive to 1/4 inch drive and 1/2 drive to 3/8 inch drive.
Q: What is Impact?
A: It's a type of wrench/driver that allows you to use an impact wrench if needed to loosen a nut or bolt without the adapter breaking, or you can just use it for every jobs that don't require an impact wrench.
Q: Would the impact adapters fit a normal ratchet?
A: They're specifically meant to be used with high-torque impact tools and applications. Impact reducers will fail at much lower torque values when incorrectly used in place of chrome reducers on breaker bars and hand ratchets. If you're only using them with non-impact hand tools, better to get the chrome non-impact kind.

This is a handy set of socket adapters and reducers. I like that it includes all of the sizes and lengths that I typically need. They're strong enough to use in my impact drill without feeling like I'll break them which is nice. They also work well in a manual multibit screwdriver to use it as a nut driver.The ball detents on most of the pieces hold my sockets tightly and are accurately sized so the sockets don't wobble. However, I noticed that the detent tension on the long 1 ⁄ 4 '' adapter isn't as strong as the rest and my sockets will pull off quite easily. This hasn't caused them to fall off during use.A case or a rubber bit holder would've been helpful for keeping them organized however I drilled holes in a block of wood to keep them together which works ok for me. Overall this is a decent set of socket adapters that look and feel durable and have been handy to use.

Picked up this impact adapter set as being a mechanic and working on household things as well, these are a handy thing to have on hand and I love that it has all 3 sizes from 1/4 to 3/8 to 1/2 making this set versatile in any situation! They have held up good so far and have no real complaints! Would recommend this set as it does as it's supposed to!
