The bag says 60 pieces. But there's 58 that including bad quality piece. The bag has a hole as cutting with knife.

I used these little wooden figures for a kids Christmas nativity craft and it turned out great! You could paint them, but we left them unfinished. We hot glued fabric to make our characters. Love the natural look and also that it came with a variety of sizes and shapes.
