The nitrile rubber fits perfectly, reducing splash-back and keeping things quieter while the disposal runs. Installation was simple, and the two-pack is great for a spare.My only gripe is that it traps some debris underneath, requiring occasional cleaning.

I just installed one a week & a half ago to replace the old rubber slash guard, which was due for replacement as it had deteriorated badly, though quite old. Best to install it using fingers on the top of the perimeter. It was a little tight to install the first time, but it fit perfectly. It has loosened up slightly since installation, and the rubber has softened a little, but it still fits perfectly, is quite easy to remove and clean and seems to work fine with zero deterioration. Buying 2 was a much better deal, plus I have a spare for later.
