Really Disappointed, I had great potential for this fixture. DMX512 IN is always 3 pin male but this came as 3 pin female . Same mistake at DMX Out too. It looks like it is a defective at assembling but I am not going to risk my upcoming event and get a replacement that might end up with same defect. I will just return it and ask for refund ....1st pic , the fixture I received .2nd pic is the advertised product

Right off the bat, the auto mode was dazzling. I set it up on my dining room table and let it fly and wow, my jaw dropped. It spins, it rotates, it switches colors, it's a party all in one.There's a sound activated mode, and you can adjust sensitivity but it wasn't great at picking up my music. But the auto mode is so exciting that I don't think people would notice it's not to the beat.My biggest concern is this- it's REALLY REALLY bright. It got in my eye just a few times and it took me some time to recover. You don't want to look straight into this thing. So if you're going to use this for a party or dance, you need to mount it WELL above eye level. But, it's really heavy and the motors moving as fast as they do cause some momentum to transfer into the base. Because of this, I couldn't mount it on my light tree tripod, you'll need something more sturdy, like real stage equipment.This isn't really a mark against the light, it's to be expected when you get into pro-level stuff like this.But it is a concern you should know about if you're thinking of getting this.I think to really take advantage of the features in this thing, it's probably worth getting a DMX controller.Edit: 1/4/23 - I got a DMX controller and it works well with the controller with ONE small caveat. The light has the DMX IN / OUT ports mislabeled. The port labelled DMX OUT is actually IN (and likewise for the IN being OUT).Aside from the mislabeling, the control works great and it's very fun to use with a controller. Almost necessary, in fact.

One of the beam light no longer functions. Only used it a couple of occasions. Unfortunately, of course, it breaks outside the return window.
