I was led to believe it will accommodate wood around 5 inches wide, it only has room for wood just over 4 inches wide and you can't add more room unless you unscrew them

If cutting larger boards I would look for something else, but anything like a 2x4 should be fine.

Scoots around to easy if not bolted down. Should have better written instructions. To be fair I'm one who can't put two boards together and make them look right.

The title says "Wood Cutting Hand Saw with Clamp Plastic Mitre Box". First, there is NO saw included. The description also includes a picture that says the width is 5.9 inches which could accommodate a 6" wide board (since they are really 5.5 inches); however, the width is really 5.6 inches and the actual width that accommodates a board is just wide enough for a 2x4. The outer fence is screwed into position and does not expand out to accommodate anything wider than a standard 2x4. Very deceptive description.
