I have this connected to a 40amp charger. I have a 25amp load resistor and 40 amp breaker for safety. It failed after 5 minutes. I included a picture of the result. Almost started a fire.

Installed unit to control a charging circuit. When altenator ramped up to peak at 80 amps to charge depleted battery- I could only see 55 amps on meter. Found that strange, started checking why and then charge dropped to 0. Contacter was still clicking coil but main connections were basically open and unit was dead in just under 2 minutes. Looking around I ordered a real contactor that is truly rated for load. The price and weight on this unit makes it impossible to truly handle 250 amps even intermittent let alone continuous as advertised.

I bought this relay for a fuse panel add on for a UTV. This relay is overkill for my 100 amp application but it was cheaper (1/2) than buying a lesser poorly made 100 amp relay at the local parts store.
